Normal-Coordinate Structural Decomposition
(NSD) for Hemeproteins in the PDB.
The NSD method is illustrated for the heme of horse cytochrome c
here (html or pdf
format). There are 1,579 heme structures from about 750 hemeprotein structures in the Protein
Data Bank (PDB) that have been analyzed by NSD. Search engines are
provided for retrieving the data by the PDB code.
For proteins that have not already been analyzed by NSD and other porphyrin
structures, a web version of the NSD program is also provided so you analyze
your own structures.
NSD for Arbitrary Tetrapyrrole Structures.
A JAVA program is provide for web-based NSD calculation for arbitrary
tetrapyrrole structures. All you need is a structure file in PDB format.
